Dance Marathon raised $27,350.02 on January 31st, 2015 for local CMN hospitals, Cardinal Glennon and St. Louis Children's Hospital. The participants danced for four hours and weren't allowed to sit down to honor the Miracle Children who struggle to stand. Miracle Children attended the event and spoke about their experiences at the CMN hospitals. Under the First Amendment of the Constitution, United States citizens are promised the freedom of speech, press, religion, to peacefully assemble, and to petition for a governmental redress of grievances. However, students, and especially student journalists, are subjected to a lower level of the First Amendment. Hazelwood, a local St. Louis case, helped take away our rights, and as students, we need to fight for them back. Wilbur and Orville Wright are two brothers from the 19th century. Their interest in mechanics sparked a major fascination with airplanes and gliders, so they created the first airplane which flew for fifty-nine seconds. |

Ladue Dance MarathonIn January, a new club to Ladue High School danced for four hours straight to raise money for Children's Hospital and Cardinal Glennon hospital. The hospital patients who received the money attended the event and spoke to the students. In total, $22,591.01 was raised.

Texting while driving occurs at all ages - 34 percent of teenagers and 27 percent of adults have admitted to sending and and receiving a text while driving. 41 states passed a law prohibiting texting behind the wheel, but it's a law still commonly broken.

Rombach FarmsRombach Farms began in 1914 by three brothers who originally started the farm as a vegetable stand. Pumpkins eventually became their main focus in 1955, and is now one of St. Louis’s most prominent pumpkin patches. Every year, there are many activities to enjoy like tractor rides, animals to see, a haunted house, and a pyramid of pumpkins.

The Lemp MansionThe Lemp Mansion was established by John Adams Lemp, who also began the Lemp Brewing industry. Over a period of forty years, four members of the Lemp family committed suicide in the Mansion. Now, the Lemp Mansion is named one of the most haunted houses in America because of the tragedies.

Destination DessertsDestination Desserts, a non-profit organization in St. Louis, Missouri, helps the intellectually disabled find employment. Employees of Destination Desserts can either work in the kitchen making desserts or sell the homemade sweets on the food truck. One hundred percent of the profits go to The Center for Head Injury.
