This month, I created a PSA about internet safety. Well, more specifically, iPad safety, but overall it's still all social media safety. I featured three applications on the iPad = Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram - all of which can dangerously affect a person's life if they post the wrong thing.
This project took a bunch of new skills that I wasn't used to. First, I had to create pop-up warning signs in Adobe Illustrator. That was fun and unique for a project. I also had to use Motion. (Which, shall I say, challenged me to new levels. We did not get along very well.) But that means I'm only more knowledgable in Motion, and I want to extend my knowledge. I would love to learn how to use motion more now and advance my skills.
The overall theme of my PSA was "Do you want to post this?" There was a "social media conscience," which were the warning popups. I hope this not only causes people to think about what they're posting online, but to review what they have already posted because anyone can see anything on the internet.
