Hey guys! Welcome to the 2014-2015 broadcast technology school year! It's great being a senior, and also thanks for reading my blog!
So I decided to start my year with a video a little out of my element - I did a computer animated biography of the Wright Brothers. I created every picture all by myself in Photoshop and I then put the pictures together in Final Cut Pro, adding some text, music, and a voiceover to finish the very simple project.
Well, the good: I love how the project turned out. It's very appealing in my eyes, and hopefully third - sixth graders will like it as much as I do. It was also fun and challenging for me, so it pushed me in a way I've never been pushed before.
The bad: It. Was. So. Time. Consuming. Total, I spent eleven hours making all the pictures for this video. Can we talk about tedious work? I got so sick of looking at my computer screen that I refused to work on it for days at a time.
But overall, I learned so much about the Wright Brothers. So much, in fact, that I could probably recite both Wilbur's and Orville's lives by memory. :)
Also, I did a short video on a featured App of the Week. I liked that, but didn't put my heart and soul into it.
I guess I like being a tech nerd.
