What a whirlwind of a month.
The month of November held many new opportunities for me as a journalist and opened my eyes for the outlook of my future. Crazy, right? It's strange to think that such a short period of time can dictate a very important decision.
I originally was going to make a project for HEC-TV about rocks; it was going to be an animated project. I was excited, no doubt. But then JEA happened. (Click HERE for more about JEA.) And my passion for the First Amendment sprung up completely out of nowhere. Well, not exactly out of nowhere.
But I decided to do a commentary. I've never done a commentary before, so it was a little foreign to me. However, it was fun. It really let me explain how I felt about how students deserve more rights in school, and especially student journalists. Overall, I believe the video expressed my views well and I'm excited to have people know how I feel about students' rights!
